Aimee was born with sickle cell disease, the most common hereditary blood disorder.
She would receive blood transfusions every 3 weeks to help with the complications she suffered from this disease.
Aimee received the sickle cell cure in 2020 and is now working to become a nurse to help sickle cell patients like her.
