We are excited to announce that our donor registration process is being upgraded to a digital system. After the weekend of June 13, 2026, when you arrive to donate and complete your health questionnaire, the process will be entirely digital.
As a result of this system upgrade, your donor ID number will change as well. This change will only affect your donor number. Your history will remain connected to your donor profile.
This upgrade allows you to access your donor card digitally. Your new digital donor card will arrive in the coming weeks—be sure to check your email to save or print your card. You can also access your digital donor card at any time from the Donor Plus app and add it to your digital wallet.
We recognize this may feel like a big change for some of our donors. As our system goes digital, rest assured your experience with blood donation will remain the same.
We look forward to seeing you at your next blood donation. Please make sure your email and mailing address are up to date to receive more information as we prepare for this system update.
Got questions? We’ve got answers!
Where can I find my new digital donor card?
You should have received your digital donor card in an email from us sent the week of June 16, 2026. You can save that email, screenshot your donor card and save it on your phone, or print it.
Additionally, you can access your digital donor card any time through our Donor Plus app. Download Donor Plus on the App Store or Google Play.
Do I still need to bring a photo ID to donate?
Yes! You must still show a photo ID each time you donate. The digital donor card does not qualify as a photo ID.
Do I need my digital donor card to be able to donate?
No. Our records contain all the information we need to know to access your donor history. Showing your digital donor card can speed up your check-in process.
How do I update my email address?
Please contact us at 800-283-8385.
What if I want a printed donor card?
There is no need to show a physical donor card to be able to donate.
However, we understand you may feel more comfortable with a printed version of your donor card. You may print your digital donor card at home from your email or from the Donor Plus app. If you would like us to send you a printed donor card, please complete this form.
