Ellora was diagnosed with a stage 3 Wilms tumor in August of 2023. This is a rare kidney cancer that affects mainly children. She needed two pints of blood while undergoing surgery to remove this tumor.
Blood donors came to her aid once again the day following surgery as Ellora needed to undergo a blood transfusion.
Her family tells us this diagnosis has not slowed down their “sassy, funny, dramatic” little girl. She is often found playing with her dolls, attending dance class or being a great older sister to her two brothers.
“We never thought our little queen would be in the position to need blood at this age but the selfless people who donated saved her life,” said Ellora’s Aunt Alyssa.
