Dear dedicated blood donors,
The pandemic has impacted people's lives and the economy around the world. Non-profit community blood centers like ours and across the country have seen unprecedented economic difficulties as a result of COVID-19. As we face financial losses this year, we have streamlined our 2020 Donor Rewards Program to included three levels of loyal blood donor branded apparel.
We are hopeful things will continue to improve and that, eventually, we will be able to restore future rewards programs to a more robust selection of items. We hope you understand and remain dedicated to being a volunteer blood donor committed to saving the lives of the people in our community and throughout New England.

Donor Rewards Program Rules
Donor credits accumulate from Jan 1 to Dec 31 of each calendar year. Credits are not transferable from year to year.
In January of each year, donors who qualified for the program will be notified by email or by mail of the rewards level they reached for the prior calendar year. Instructions on how to redeem a rewards item will be provided at that time. Once the redemption period is over, items will be ordered by RIBC and sent to the address the donor provided at the time of redemption. Donors should expect to receive their gift in April.
- Whole Blood Donations = 1 credit
- Double Red Cell Donation = 2 credits
- Single Platelet = 1
- Double Platelet = 2
- Triple Platelet = 3
- Level 1 = 4 - 5 Credits
- Level 2 = 6 - 12 Credits
- Level 3 = 13+ Credits
