Rhode Island Blood Center Annual Fund
The RI Blood Center Annual Fund is the backbone of our philanthropic initiatives. This fund, established in 2021, provides support beyond our annual budget. It provides the organization with the flexibility to allocate resources toward our most immediate needs, which allows us to provide the greatest impact on our community.
Fiscal Year 2022 Priority: RIBC Bus Remodel
In addition to our six donor centers around the state, the Rhode Island Blood Center operates six full-service blood collection buses for mobile blood drives. These buses are crucial to bringing our operations to community blood drive sponsors where it is most convenient for donors to give.
Coach buses require maintenance and enhancements to ensure that they have the most up-to-date equipment to service our donors fully. Currently, one of our buses is out of service and in need of renovations. Updates to this bus in order to be fully operational again is the RIBC’s primary capital improvement project for fiscal year 2022.
