Rhode Island Blood Center Pints For Life

Welcome to the Second Annual Pints For Life Walk Web-Site. Here you can register for the walk, form a team, pledge funds, support a friend with a donation or get more information about the event.

We are excited to host our 2012 walk on Sunday, June 3 to raise awareness and funds for blood donation. The walk will begin at the Providence Donor Center and will end at The Rhode Island State House. Check-In will begin at 8:30AM and the walk will begin at 10:00AM. Blood collection is a year round challenge but the summer months are always more difficult. High schools and colleges are not in session and many people travel or take time off, but the need for blood never takes a vacation. Every day we need to collect 280 pints to maintain a safe and adequate blood supply for our Rhode Island and Southern New England community.

Last year over 200 people came out on a rainy Sunday to show their support for the center and raised over $22,000! We hope to grow the event this year with the your help and the support of our honorary walk chairperson Barbara Morse Silva.
